Yayoi Lena Naito Winfrey (AKA Lena Starwheels) was born in megalopolitan Tokyo and spent the first two years of her life there. She was also raised in Texas, Germany and Washington State; and, she's lived in Alaska, California, Hawai'i, and the USVI, too.

From an early age, Yayoi began creating art and, as an adult, became a freelance illustrator and graphic designer before segueing into fiction writing, journalism and filmmaking. 

A true indie artist, Yayoi has financed her own film projects or else relied on the kindness of donors. This site features her creations, both released and not; as well as glimpses into her upcoming projects.
